From 1653 onwards Rechtstraat has been referred to as "the white Loterijns, Loreynsche or Lotharingskruis". On the gable stone of Rechtstraat 96 a fourth variation can be read: INT LORRAINE CROSS 1791, but who cares?
The cross has been cut off. Again something from the French Period?
The Lorraine cross is a cross with two crossbars. However, what we see here in restored form looks more like a Maltese cross.
