Heads on gable stones come in all shapes and sizes, not only in their depiction, but also in the spelling: head, hoof, cop. Other examples can be found in Wycker Brugstraat and at the Markt. This one, with an "oe", is quite exceptional.
The head is still in its original position, but the decoration underneath with the triangles has disappeared, although there were other painted triangles earlier or later, which can still be seen.
