Whether this house also had the angel as its house name is nowhere to be found. The former owner, Drs. M. de Bruijn, was an art historian, and during restoration work he discovered a French text: a l'enseigne de l'ange (In the sign of the angel). Some time later he found an antique fayence bowl with the image of a little angel. He thought that they matched and therefore he had the dish bricked in with the caption IN THE LITTLE ANGEL 1679.
