Flora and fauna can be found on many Gable stones in the city. A lime tree like this one is exceptional, though, as there is only a second specimen in Emmaus Street.

Archival photo 1912.The year was not visible at the time, probably due to the photographer's position. The last photo taken shows that it was there, but during an adjustment to the facade it apparently got cornered and was partially cut away. In any case, it is clear what that eye hook above the Gable stone served for.
