CICICCCXXXII = MDCCXXXII

After the conquest of Maastricht by Prince Frederick Henry in 1632, Protestants - mostly French - could for the first time profess their faith openly in the city, first in the Jesuit church opposite, from 1680 in the Hillarius chapel on this spot, and in 1732 in the present church. The Walloon Church, also called the French Church, is a church building with a twelve-sided central building in an austere Baroque style. The architect was the Liege native Nicolas Comhaire.

That is correct. Put some letters together:

  = M

 = D

Then you can just read:

and this gives

M = 1000
D = 500
C = 100
X = 10
I = 1
the year 1732
